I found myself in the unfortunate situation to have a wall in my basement stabilized as it was gradually falling in. I had many options but chose JES Foundation Repair. What a fantastic choice! I received a phone call and a text message from the job foreman Joel Grade about 30 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive to start the work. Joel and his crew, to include Bryen Hailey and Karon Sherman arrived and were extremely professional from the jump. They explained the scope of the work, and made a conscious choice to minimize any impact to the rest of the house as they completed the job. The job took two days to complete and the guys walked me thru what was completed on each day, and were sure to make sure I had no concerns. We had our basement walls repaired and a water management system installed in our home over 16 years ago and it is still as good as the day JES installed it. Jay Hyman was our sales rep back then and still works at JES, now as a professional inspector. For the first time in 16 years, I recently reached out to JES to get copies of our old paperwork and Jay and the receptionist at the Manassas office were very friendly and super helpful. They went out of their way to get me what I needed. JES is a rare find, a company that’s stands behind their work – 16 years and counting.

JES did wonderful work for our home. The team we had for the outside work was Agustin Morales, Eduardo Morales, and Jorge Duron. They were very professional in every aspect of the job. I was impressed how they took the time to lay plastic down in our flower beds to keep from disturbing the mulch. This seems small but means so much, especially since we just put it down recently. They let us know when they were arriving via text which was great. Agustin explained everything that was being done and did a walk around with us after the work was complete. He even took the excess dirt and filled some low lying areas in our back yard. We truly appreciate the professionalism and care you took of our home.

The personnel at JES Foundation Repair Ashland were consummate professionals from the beginning of the process to the end. Our 90-plus-year-old house was sinking by 2" in its middle, so it was imperative that we right the foundation. Tice, utilizing high-tech equipment, assiduously inspected our house for a full four hours, going through every possible detail in a comprehensive and fully comprehensible way–including his offering of affordable financing. In addition, he kept in contact with us every step of the way, patiently answering our multitudinous queries and most importantly aiding us in navigating the permitting process through Albemarle county. Roberto and Oscar, who did the install of a dozen beams and a sump pump, were highly knowledgeable, had numerous years of experience, and worked tirelessly in their doing of a superior job on site; they also did a nice job of cleaning up on the last day. Materials were of the highest quality–there was no cutting corners with JES. All went seamlessly from the beginning of the process to its culmination. I have no reservations whatsoever about JES Foundation and the work they did, and would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone–the peace of mind they brought us, knowing that our house's foundation is once again stable, is priceless.

Within three days of calling, JES had Chad onsite to do a thorough inspection. Based on our introductory conversation, I could tell Chad was very knowledgeable and experienced. He spent nearly two hours inspecting my home to identify the cause of the issue I was experiencing. Upon completion, Chad informed me that he and JES could not help. They couldn't help because the problem was not with my basement or foundation walls. Rather he pointed out two downspouts and a grading issue under the down spouts that were caus of my issues. It is not very often I have run across a true professional like Chad who did not put profit over honesty. Because he was honest, I have likely kept thousands of dollars in my pockets and JES Foundation Repair has earned my respect, my honest review, and all future references I make for them to friends and family in the area with foundation issues. When we bought our old house, the original weep tile had collapsed over time and ground water was seeping into our basement. We also had a crawl space from a 1920’s addition that was dry but needed sealing. Groundworks (which was Foundation Systems of Michigan at the time), did a great job. The perimeter of the entire basement was opened up for new drain tubing and the walls were covered with their vapor membrane. Amazing what a dry basement can do for a house. Since then, we’ve added on and required their services twice more. Always professional, conscientious about cleaning up afterwards (especially on the first job which was a big job), and willing to work with us on small updates. Dale and John are two excellent representatives for Groundworks and I highly recommend them.

First and foremost, I NEVER write reviews; however, I found it necessary in this case because the two young men who came to perform the work were true professionals. Foreman Michael Kuffour and Co-foreman Alan Brown arrived on time! They professionally introduced themselves. I felt immediately at ease because once I directed them to the area that needed repair, they quickly communicated operation issues and recommended changes so that the work to be performed was accurately understood in layperson's terms. They utilized precision measuring instruments and fixtures to measure the dimensions of finished work pieces: downspouts and sump pump operations. They were extremely conscientious and ensured that work complied with all relevant codes, standards, and job specifications. They followed procedures to maintain the work environment neat and orderly. Mike, the Project Supervisor, arrived. Mike was knowledgeable and provided information on further work and any materials and equipment needed. He communicated ways to gain efficiencies and more effective installation methods in collaboration with us (the customer), which I greatly appreciated so that we could meet the goals and work towards a final resolution to our water problem. He inspected the Encapsulation work under the crawl space also. Once the meeting was over, I felt secure that the remainder of the result would be proficiently performed and up to code. I recommend JES to anyone, for they provide A-1 work. The guys that they sent were tens (10) in every sense. For this, I give them five stars ***** . Thank You
